Interactive Murder Mystery!

YOU are the detective!

What is an interactive Murder Mystery?

Cluedo brought to life!

You play detective in a team with your friends and are tasked with solving the case within just 2 hours! There are three suspects (played by us) who you will question and banter with in order to get to the truth…

A helpful sleuth

To assist with your investigation is a respected local of note, who assumes the role of investigation lead in the absence of the police (who only ever appear toward the end of an investigation!)

Who will it be this time - the mayor, the Suffragette leader, the station master or the reverand? Needless to say, your inquiry will be run smoothly so everyone has a fair chance to crack the case!

Suspects, Clues, Connections and Drinks!

The key to our murder mysteries is interaction.

You’ll interview odd suspects, examine kooky clues and untangle an interconnected plot brimming with late-Victorian era character - all with a drink in-hand!

The Origin of the Genre

Who invented this format of entertainment?

The Murder Mystery Weekend was concocted in England in 1981 by Joy Swift as entertainment for a boutique hotel. The combination of live actors to interrogate and an unravelling plot are the hallmarks of the genre. She was awarded an MBE for services to tourism as the inventor of the murder mystery weekend, presented to her in 2001 by Prince Charles.

Trickster’s take on the format

While Joy’s murder mysteries occupy an entire weekend (with players also staying at the venue), we provide a much shorter, portable experience designed to take place with canapés or prior to a meal.

Once you’ve solved the case we vanish into the night allowing you to relax and socialise with your fellow detectives.
