New Opportunities for Murder
Oamaru Victorian Heritage Celebrations
We’ve been invited to be part of the celebrationsand the theme is MIGRATION STORIES - because everyone moved here in search of a better life.
‘KNOCK’ is not Oamaru-specific, but designed to be relevant to any town across the Otago and Southland region.
Touring
It is our goal to take our Murders on the road in search of new audiences. This is our first step!
Jazz Bar and Garden Party are ready to tour - and this Victorian one adds diversity (and local history) to the line up.

Premise
A wake at a bar
We’re setting this at the victim’s wake - conveniently at a bar. Could take place in any hotel, pub or hall throughout the provinces…
A Dummy in a Coffin
There’s a coffin (which we have to open) and a dummy inside (that gets examined “Operation-style”). Very tasteful.
Audience Dress Code
Because Victorian garb is tough for many, we’re keeping it simple: it’s a wake - so the dress code is “Black as the Darkest Night”
Same Structure
A neutral, dependable sleuth
3 or 4 suspects
90 minute game time
